Executive Director

We are seeking a spirited, dynamic and experienced art professional to direct UrbanGlass as we head towards our 50th anniversary and beyond. The Executive Director leads the organization in fulfilling its mission and sets priorities in collaboration with the Board of Directors for its sustainability and growth. The Executive Director reports to a 25-person Board of Directors.

The Executive Director oversees all UrbanGlass programs, which include studio, education, the Agnes Varis Art Center’s store (UrbanGlass|Ware) and gallery (Robert Lehman Gallery) and the publication of Glass Quarterly magazine. They hire, manage and guide staff, are the primary between the Board and staff, are an effective fundraiser and strategic leader, accomplishing financial goals by fostering relationships with donors, funders and stakeholders, always building and expanding a network of support for the organization. 

The Executive Director works with our user community, teachers, students, the staff team and the Board of Directors, to inspire, develop and support an inclusive community open and conducive to creativity among individuals learning about, working with and exploring the medium of glass.
