Open Studios: A Recycled Holiday!

Our Holiday open studios will focus on glass as a renewable resource. Join us for UrbanGlass Open Studios, an opportunity to explore our spectacular-- and closed to the public-- 17,000 square foot facility, and learn about the ways that glass can be reused and transformed. Participate in hands-on activities, tour our incredible studios, and watch artists blow glass, manipulate glass with a torch, and more.

Hands-on activities include:

Glassblowing - Make your own holiday ornament - In a 30 minute lesson, work one-on-one with an artist, learning basics of glassblowing. You will work to create your own glass ornament!  Ages 11 and up can participate in the lesson.

Kilnforming - Learn how to skillfully assemble, melt, and fuse colorful glass sun catcher with a kiln forming expert. Capture light and create ambiance with your fused panel. This activity can be enjoyed by all ages.

Bead Stringing - In this free activity, creatively string colorful beads. Handmade glass beads will be provided to participants.
