Join us on Saturday, October 3rd, for UrbanGlass' Open Studios: The Built Environment!

From curtain walls to stained glass to neon signs, glass surrounds us in the built environment. Join us for UrbanGlass Open Studios, an opportunity to explore our spectacular-- and closed to the public-- 17,000 square foot facility, and learn about the ways that glass impacts the way we live. Participate in hands-on activities, tour our incredible studios, and watch artists blow glass, bend neon, and more.

Hands-on activities include:

Glassblowing: Votives and Vessels - In a 30 minute lesson, work one-on-one with an artist, learning basics of glassblowing. You will work to create your own glass votive or vessel to use at home!  Ages 11 and up can participate in the lesson.

Kilnforming - Learn how to skillfully assemble, melt, and fuse colorful glass sun catcher with a kiln forming expert. Capture light and create ambiance with your fused panel. This activity can be enjoyed by all ages.

Bead Stringing - In this free activity, creatively string colorful beads. Handmade glass beads will be provided to participants.
