July 26th, 2016
5:15 pm - 6:00 pm
Events, Talks

Join us on Tuesday, July 26 at 5:15 pm to hear John Drury speak about his work.

John Drury is a mixed media artist, working with a large range of technique and material from installation, painting, sculpture and glass.

John's influences, including a longstanding history within the international glass community leads him to unique innovations and approaches to art making. In a review of John's work by Paper magazine, Victoria Pedersen writes “Drury invests everyday objects with a new vitality that is born out of his quirky melding of materials… His fascination with materials and process has all the openness of child’s play; with almost manic abandon, Drury gleefully pairs together the most unlikely elements”

John Drury has exhibited internationally (Velan, per l’arte contemporanea; Italy: La Panaderia; Mexico City) and at the Haunch of Venison, Exit Art, Holly Solomon, Bronwyn Keenan and the Willoughby Sharp Gallery, in New York City. He is also represented by the Dean Jensen Gallery, of Milwaukee. As part of the CUD duo with Robbie Miller, John has traveled internationally for residencies and installation projects.
