2007 graduate of the Bead Project at UrbanGlass Studio, Brooklyn NY. The techniques I learned enabled me to explore what I am passionate about; experimenting with colors and glass to create one of a kind decorative glass art. The Bead Project has made an enormous changes in my life, I have been invited to participate in several private and public events throughout New York City demonstrating the art of glass bead making. In addition to teaching at Urban Glass, Recipient of the New York Hall of Science Maker Fair Red Ribbon Education award of 2013. I've had the opportunity in 2013-2014 to educate freshman students from Rudolf Steiner School, in Manhattan. In the summer of 2014 I interned at Corning Museum of Glass, Corning NY, assisting visitors in making their own glass beads and pendants. Currently I continue the fascinating exploration ancient glass bead making techniques.

Weekend

Working glass on a torch is a wonderful introduction to the qualities of glass; color, light and fluidity. Students, with an eye on safety, will learn the basic skills of flame-working to melt colorful glass rods into beads.
