Dena Pengas

Dena Pengas is a Brooklyn-based artist who works mainly with kilnformed and cast glass.  Dena’s work is often playful and colorful, and her building-block and puzzle jewelry series celebrate iconic forms from childhood games and toys.  In addition to focusing on her jewelry and Judaica lines, she has taught jewelry making and introductory and advanced kiln forming at UrbanGlass for several years.  Along with her studio work, Dena is a member of the Burnt Asphalt Family, a performance group that combines hot glass and cooking techniques.
