The Future of Light: Intro/Intermediate Neon Lighting

Esteban Salazar

Far beyond the world of commercial signage, glass artists have found in neon lighting a vehicle for experimentation and self expression. Through a series of hands-on projects and demonstrations you will have the time and space to produce the fanciest of all light sources. The first half of this workshop will address the mastery of fundamental technical and aesthetic aspects of tube bending. The second half of the studies will bring focus to the execution of your own design. Studio protocol and standard safety procedures will be thoroughly discussed keeping you, and the people around you, safe.
