The Path of Least Resistance: Intro to Glassblowing

This workshop presents to you the fundamental technical and aesthetic qualities of glass as a material and glassblowing as a process. Through a series of hands-on projects, demonstrations and critiques you will explore molten glass and traditional furnace work. Basic color applications and cold working techniques are part of the core of the class. You will become proficient using tools and equipment allowing you to express your creativity through the endless possibilities of molten glass. You will be introduced to standard safety procedures and studio protocol, keeping you and the people around you safe.
