The Banquet: Design, Make, and Eat!

Edison Zapata

This workshop will focus on harnessing skills in glass blowing to create unique, functional vessels to enhance your dining experience. Students will develop designs in the hotshop for tableware that will be used in a group meal cooked in the glass studio. Time in the hot shop will focus on fabricating designs, using the garage and torches, and working with a production mindset as a team. Every student will be producing their own dining set, a cup, bowl, and plate, as a basic set up for the table. Once pieces are finalized and ready for use, the class will come together for a unique and fiery dining experience of Asian and Mediterranean cuisine!

This class is being offered as part of our 40 for 40 series, a celebration of the 40th anniversary of UrbanGlass.
