Making Gradients with Glass Powders

June 22nd - June 23rd
Suzanne Head |

In this two day course, we will learn to make colorful gradients with powdered glass that can be fired to a glossy or matte finish. We’ll also incorporate stenciled patterns, text, and hand drawn elements for a satisfying final image. This process is great for making fused tiles, pendant jewelry, or incorporated into larger projects.

What to Expect: There is no experience needed for this class. Students will walk away with finished tiles to keep, have as samples, or give as gifts. Small shapes could also be used for jewelry. Glass artists will be encouraged to integrate this process into their own practice.  Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.

Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 14 and up.

Pick-up: The glass needs to be fused in the kiln and cool down overnight, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
