Introduction to Borosilicate Glass

This 6 week course provides an introduction to flameworking with borosilicate glass. Students will learn to create small objects, apply color, and explore the worlds of both solid and hollow sculptural forms. Through a mixture of technical exercises and creative projects, students will delve into the potential of this material. The goal of the course is for students to gain confidence in their ability and be able to create well-crafted objects.

Amy Lemaire is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where she studied painting and contemporary art.
