Funky Forms: All Ages Glassblowing Weekend

In this weekend introduction to the hot glass studio, learn the ins and outs of working with glass in its hottest form! We will first begin with solid work, making some funky little creatures and getting down working with the material as well as with a team. From there, we will start tackling the blown form and color application. By the end of the weekend we will combine our newly acquired techniques to make colorful cups with funky bits that will truly stand out! All ages welcome and encouraged!

Mia Sartori

Mia Sartori is a Brooklyn based artist specializing in hot glass. After receiving her BFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio Mia has continued to explore glass as a material in relationship to common place objects, always looking to utilize and experiment with glass in different ways. Prior to moving to Brooklyn Mia has worked at Centre College in Danville Kentucky as a Studio Assistant and Bucks Rock Arts Camp for several summers as a Glass Instructor.
