Director of Education
Job description: The Director of Education develops all educational programming in coordination with other program directors (including exhibitions, studio and development) and devises marketing strategies; oversees hiring and management of faculty; develops budgets, including cost analysis of courses; organizes all educational materials, including supplies; supervises production of course catalogs, promotional material and printed and visual educational aids; oversees student relations; manages open houses and tours, The Bead Project, Rock the Hot Shop and other educational activities in coordination with the Assistant Director of Education.
Job requirements: B.A./B.F.A. and 5 years related experience, or M.A./M.F.A., preferably in a visual arts institution. Knowledge of glass making techniques is required. Knowledge of contemporary arts is preferred. Candidate needs excellent organizational, writing and people skills; able to meet deadlines; strong computer skills (MS Office, Access).
