Charlotte Potter was raised in Fayston, VT by two artisan parents. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University, NY, with a concentration in glass and a minor in dance. She has studied glass blowing at summer programs such as Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, ME, and the New York School of Ceramics and Art Design. Charlotte has taught glass blowing at Bucks Rock Children's Art Camp, CT, and been the Teacher Assistant at Penland School of Crafts, NC, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. She has been on staff at Pilchuck Glass School, WA, and at the Creative Glass Center of America, NJ.

Presently Charlotte lives in Jackson Hole, WY, where she teaches glass blowing and fusing at the Art Association and works at Thal glass blowing studio. Her work is shown internationally and is held in private collections. She has demonstrated glass blowing at the Glass Art Society Conference in New Orleans and St. Louis and at The Wheaton Glass Residency Program, Millville, NJ. This summer she has been awarded a scholarship at Pilchuck Glass School.
