Karen Gilbert was trained in metalsmithing and glassworking at such institutions as the California College of Art and the Pilchuck Glass School. Her work has been presented at such prestigious national shows as the Smithsonian Craft Show and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Her work has been acquired by the Tacoma Art Museum, WA, for its permanent collection, and will be a part of the upcoming traveling show, GlassWear, at the Museum of Art and Design, NY; the Schmuckmuseum in Pforzheim, Germany; and the Toledo Museum of Art, OH.

Karen Gilbert lives and works in Healdsburg, CA.
